    Distance Learning at HRES in August

    The Stanislaus County Public Health Officer (PHO) has determined that schools throughout Stanislaus County will not be allowed to open their school campuses in August as a result of recent significant increases in COVID-19 infections and hospitalizations, both in Stanislaus County and statewide. As a result , Hart-Ransom Elementary School will start the new school year on August 10 with distance learning for all students. Please see the letters below for more information.

    JERRIANNA BOER'S RETIREMENT

    Jerrianna Boer has been serving as the principal of Hart-Ransom Elementary School for the last fifteen years, and she served as a teacher at Hart-Ransom Elementary School for thirteen years before that. After 28 years of service in the district and 33 total years of service as an educator, Mrs. Boer is retiring. Please join us in congratulating Mrs. Boer for her dedicated career in education and thanking her for her years of investment in the Hart-Ransom Union School District.

    We hope you enjoyed the HRES Staff Car Parade through the Hart-Ransom community on Sunday afternoon, March 29, 2020. Teachers, administrators, and staff drove their cars and school buses through our neighborhoods to bring joy and encouragement to our students, parents, and community members. We enjoyed seeing so many of you along the parade route waving and cheering us along. Thank you for being so awesome, Hart-Ransom community!

    During the period of school closure, meals for students will not be served at Hart-Ransom Elementary School. Instead, parents may go to another location in our community to pick up meals for their students. These meals are available for any child age 18 or younger, and the child must be present with the parent in order to pick up the meals (certain exceptions may apply). The document below provides information about a variety of “Grab and Go” meal pick-up locations. This document will be updated as new information becomes available.

    Feeder School Data Sharing

    The Modesto City Schools, in order to plan and prepare for students matriculating into its high
    schools for the 2020-2021 school year, is requesting access to pupil records from Hart-Ransom Elementary School. This notice is made pursuant to Education Code sections 49068 and
    49076. You have the right to receive a copy of the records and a hearing to challenge the
    content of the records.

    The Modesto City Schools will only use the records for legitimate educational purposes. If
    Modesto City Schools receives notice that your child will not be matriculating to a Modesto
    City Schools high school, it will promptly and securely destroy any and all of your student’s
    records within its possession. If you should have any questions, please contact Russ
    Selken, Modesto City School’s Chief Technology Officer at Selken.R@monet.k12.ca.us.

    2020-2021 Interdistrict Attendance Permit (IAP) Application Deadline

    March 13, 2020 is the deadline for Inderdistrict Attendance Permit (IAP) applications for the 2020-2021 school year. This deadline applies to both new and returning applicants. Late IAP applications submitted after the deadline will be considered after all applications that were received before the deadline. Please carefully read the letter below for important information about the IAP application process and deadline.

    Bus Route Schedules

    The Hart-Ransom Union School District runs three bus routes in the morning, two bus routes at the 2:00 PM dismissal in the afternoon, and four bus routes at the 2:40 PM dismissal in the afternoon.
